ALTERED COMMON COLLECTION (2019)
Comprised of ornamental structures—built to create whimsy and tension in rooms full of architecture. The collection draws on the idea of follies, a leap beyond the practical, each piece uses and mis-uses materials, shifts conventional scales, and re-thinks common functionality. The ’19 collection is an invitation to reconsider day to day object interactions
ELEMENT (2018)
Inspired by Brutalist architecture and celestial bodies, the Element collection explores where solid meets void through the abstraction of form and the purity of clean lines. Taken as a whole, the collection creates a sleek, retro-futurist environment. Mathematical concepts inspire the forms, from the role of symmetry to the construction of 2D planes into 3D objects. Each piece is connected by the materiality and the process of small batch manufacturing. The Element collection is a glimpse beyond the void, an imaginative reconsideration of the past looking at the future.
